Each fall season brings beautiful foliage and cooler temperatures to coastal Maine. But guests of Clay Hill Farm have come to anticipate this time of year for another reason. Over the years, Clay Hill Farm has hosted a unique theatrical dining experience and returning once again for 2021 is the much anticipated performance of POE: Tales of Fear & Suspense.

Clay Hill Farm transforms the ambiance of their Veranda Room from a classic dining room into a dimly lit intimate setting. Local actor Kirk Simpson morphs into a present-day Edgar Allen Poe narrating the dark and ominous works of the famous poet. Placing guests at center stage, Kirk eerily lurks around the dining room as he shares the writings of Poe. Kirk’s dramatic readings keep guests intrigued as they enjoy modern cuisine created by Clay Hill Farm’s talented chef.
As Halloween approaches and the nights get darker and colder, it’s the perfect setting for the theatrical performance of POE: Tales of Fear & Suspense.
